LHCb Research Associate
You will take a leading role in the analysis of data from the LHCb experiment and make substantial contributions to the development and construction of the LHCb VELO upgrade. The LHCb group in Glasgow is performing measurements of CP asymmetries and lifetimes in charm and beauty decays and performing charm baryon spectroscopy.
You will take a leading role in enhancing and extending these activities. The group is a significant contributor to the development of the VELO upgrade and is designing and producing the front-end control and DAQ boards and the high-speed data links. You will make a leading contribution to the development of DAQ and control software and to the validation of the system.
You will also contribute to the operation of the current LHCb VELO detector during Run II data taking. This is an STFC consolidated grant post with funding available in the first instance until 30 September 2019.
Terms & Conditions
Salary will be on the University's Research and Teaching Grade, level 7, £33,574 - £37,768 per annum.
