Our profile
The department of physics at RWTH Aachen University offers a vibrant community of particle physicists who play leading roles in analysis of data, in the definition and refinement of physics objects, in detector commissioning and operations, and in the design and development of the detector upgrade. Your profile
We are looking for applicants with an University degree (Master or equivalent) in experimental particle physics and the potential to drive progress in physics analysis and development of reconstruction Software.
Your responsibilities
The successful candidate will participate in measurements of the Higgs Boson couplings (ERC project HIGCC) for the current data and in view of the future operation of LHC (High Luminosity LHC).
What we offer
The successful candidate will be employed as a public servant.
The position is to be filled as soon as possible and for 3 years with the option of extensions upon mutual agreement.
This is a part-time position (50% of the standard weekly hours for full-time employees).
The successful candidate has the opportunity to pursue a doctoral degree in this position.
The salary corresponds to level EG 13 TV-L.
