Job description:
The Experimental Particle Physics group at the University of Zurich invites applications for a postdoctoral position to work on the CMS experiment at the CERN Large Hadron Collider.
Our CMS group at UZH is engaged in data analysis in addition to major responsibilities in the pixel detector, software developments, and operations of the CMS detector. The position is initially limited to three years with possibility of extension, subject to performance. 

Successful candidates are expected to lead the group's contributions in CMS physics analyses and help with the supervision of students. Candidates will also participate in the detector operation and upgrade efforts. The successful candidate could be based at CERN or in Zurich, with regular travel foreseen to either location. 

Applicants should have a Ph.D. in experimental particle physics by the date of the appointment and have performed high quality, independent, particle physics research, with the ability to mentor students.
