We are offering an Postdoctoral position in the (MD) Group. In this role, you will work with a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers to carry out magnetic measurements and tuning of APS insertion devices and develop his/her own program in the enhancement of magnetic measurements capabilities at the APS. You will also have the opportunity to work in the areas of insertion device (ID) design for APS Upgrade as well as participate in the development and implementation of novel measurements techniques for future generation light sources.
Position Requirements
We expect you to have: •Good knowledge of the physics of synchrotron radiation sources, and particularly undulators as a main source of such radiation is required. •Good skills in running undulator magnetic measurements and tuning, and good ability to conduct magnetic simulation of undulators is also required.
