The Hamilton Mathematics Institute TCD (HMI) invites applications for Simons Postdoctoral Fellowship in pure mathematics or in theoretical/mathematical physics, starting in the autumn of 2017. Positions are usually for two years, with the possibility of an extension to three years, provided that the grant is extended by the funding agency, and depending on performance. The position is funded by the Targeted Grants to Institutes from Simons Foundation. The Hamilton Mathematics Institute (HMI) at Trinity College Dublin was founded in 2005, marking the 200th anniversary of the birth of William Rowan Hamilton - Ireland's greatest mathematician.
