The Dean of the Faculty of Science of the Masaryk University announces an open position as Associated Professor of Theoretical Physics and Astrophysics with a specialization towards Open Clusters.

Job description: The Department Theoretical Physics and Astrophysics is opening a new research field in Open Clusters. We seek an established leader in the field to start a new initiative in an area complementary to the existing Astrophysical research at our Department.
Criteria: Academic qualifications for the position of the equivalent of an Associated Professor (habilitation) in Astrophysics
Pedagogical experience in teaching and supervising students Documented experience in applying for and administrating grants. Ability to build up a new research field
Longterm international experience
Ability to teach in Czech is a merit
Required activities: Teaching students, developing new courses Supervising students at the bachelors, masters and doctoral level Attracting grants Research and publication Founding a new research group focused on Open Clusters.
