The Dean of the Faculty of Science of the Masaryk University announces an open position as Associated Professor of Theoretical Physics and Astrophysics with a specialisation towards High Energy Astrophysics.

Job description: The Department for Theoretical Physics and Astrophysics is opening a new research field in High Energy Astrophysics. We seek an established leader in the field to start a new initiative in an area complementary to the existing Astrophysical research at our Department.
Criteria:
Qualifications for the position of Associated Professor (habilitation) in Astrophysics
Pedagogical experience in teaching and supervising students
Documented experience in applying for and administrating grants.
Ability to build up a new research field
Longterm experience at leading institutions outside the Czech Republic
Ability to teach in Czech is considered an asset
Required activities:
Teaching students, developing new courses
Supervising students at the bachelors, masters and doctoral level
Attracting grants
Research and publication
Founding a new research group focused on reasearch in the field of High Energy Astrophysics.
