LHCb post-doctoral positions at Tsinghua University

The Center for High Energy Physics at Tsinghua University (TU) invites applications for two or three postdoctoral positions to work in the LHCb experiment at the LHC. The TU-LHCb group plays an important role at LHCb in the study of B hadrons and quarkonia productions, CP violation in B decays, searches for exotic states including pentaquarks, and also the study of heavy-ion physics.

Applications received by 15th of April 2016 will be fully considered. Later applications might be considered as well until all positions are filled.

The successful candidate is expected to play a major role in the data analysis, and to perform software or hardware work for Scintillating Fiber Tracker for the LHCb upgrade. Additional possible project is to set up an initial simulation study of further LHCb upgrade after the LHC RUN-3. A PhD in experimental high-energy physics or post-doctoral experiences in experimental high-energy physics is required.

The position is initially for two years with possibility to extend to three years or more, subject to the funding availability and the performance review.
