Job description:
We have a couple of postdoc positions available at the TianQin Research Center, School of Physics and Astronmy, Sun Yat-sen University, Zhuhai, China. We are looking for candidates who either is doing fundamental research on gravitational theories or can directly contribute to various aspects of the TianQin project, including gravitational wave source modelling, mock data construction, data analysis method development, and so on. The candidate should have a Ph.D degree in the field of mathematics, or theoretical physics, or astrophysics.
Candidates having all the following traits will have the highest priority:
(1) Familiar with computer language C++, or C, or Fortran, or Matlab, or Python;
(2) Familiar with gravitational wave physics;
(3) Familiar with basic analysis methods of signal and noise;
(4) Working experience in the field of the numerical calculation of differential equations including ODE and PDE, or post Newtonian approximation for binary compact objects;
(5) Functions well in a team.
The theory sector of the TianQin Research Center currently consists of Miao Li (SYSU), Jianwei Mei (HUST), Yan Wang (HUST) and Zhoujian Cao (AMSS, CAS). We are looking to greatly extend this list in the next few years.
The benefits of the position include:
1)Basic wage, ranging from ¥110,000/year to ¥160,000/year;
2)Bonus, depending on performance;
3)Social insurance and house fund.
