The Submillimeter Astrophysics group at Caltech is seeking candidates for a postdoctoral scholar position in the area of superconducting detector development. These detectors are being developed for use in imaging and spectroscopic instruments for ground and space-based astrophysics. Candidates should have broad interests in superconducting detectors and associated device physics, and/or experimental astrophysics. Previous experience with low temperature physics, microwave electronics, superconducting devices, or mm/submm instrumentation is highly desirable.
The initial appointment, contingent upon completion of Ph.D. requirements, is for one year, renewable to a total of three years.
