Job description:
The Experimental Particle Physics Group in the A&S Physics Department at the University of Cincinnati is seeking applications for a Post-Doctoral Fellow. The individual selected for this position will work on the LHCb experiment, with primary responsibilities including data analysis and service work in the core computing group. Additional responsibilities may relate to developing software for the "upgrade" era LHCb detector. The details of all assignments will be determined by negotiation between the individual selected and the grant Principal Investigator (Dr. Michael Sokoloff).
Qualifications
Candidates must have Ph.D., or equivalent, in experimental particle physics or a closely aligned discipline. Knowledge of flavor physics is strongly preferred, and significant software experience is preferred.
Work Location
Probably at CERN (in Switzerland), but may be Cincinnati, if preferred by the candidate.
