Job description:
The Adelaide Node of the Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence Particle Physics at the Tera-Scale (CoEPP), located in the School of Physical Sciences, invites applications for two positions as a Research Associate in theoretical particle and astro-particle physics.
The successful candidates will have a strong research record in theoretical physics with demonstrated expertise related to physics Beyond the Standard Model. In addition, candidates with experience relating theory to one or more of LHC phenomenology, astrophysics, low energy tests of the Standard Model, dark matter detection and cosmology will be considered highly.

Salary: (Level A) $78,525 - $84,291 per annum.
Superannuation: An employer contribution of 9.5% applies.
Term of position: These fixed-term contracts are available for a period of two years with a possible extension to three years subject to funding and mutual consent. The positions can be filled at a mutually satisfactory date prior to 31 August 2016.
Position requirements
To be successful you should have:
- A PhD (or thesis submitted) or equivalent degree in theoretical physics
- A commitment to research excellence in theoretical particle physics and demonstrated expertise related to physics Beyond the Standard Model
- Demonstrated publication track record in leading scientific journals and conferences
- Advanced analytical and computational skills, including demonstrated ability to perform numerical and symbolic calculations
- Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research in addition to working effectively as a member of a research team
