Job description:
The Center for Fundamental Physics (CFP) at Zewail City of Science and Technology announces the opening of a research faculty position in experimental particle physics (CMS). The CFP experimental group is working within the CMS collaboration at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN. The research interests of the CMS group at the CFP include higgs physics in SM and beyond, searches for supersymmetric particles, searches for exotics non-hadronic heavy resonances such as heavy gauge bosons (Z’) and excited leptons (l*). The CFP offers a competitive research environment and prospective collaborations with local and international institutes.
Candidates should have experience in CMS for not less than 3 years after their Ph.D. degree. The position is for three years, and can be extended to five.
Education Major: Ph.D. in experimental particle physics
Salary: EGP 24,000 (almost USD 3,000)
