DESY, Hamburg location, is seeking:
Postdoc (f/m) position in CMS

DESY

DESY is one of the world’s leading research centres for photon science, particle and astroparticle physics as well as accelerator physics. DESY is searching for a high energy experimental postdoctoral researcher to work in the CMS experiment. The successful candidate is expected to participate in a leading position in data analyses searching for dark matter and to contribute to the preparation of future analyses with the upgraded CMS detector.

The position
-Active role in the CMS experiment
-Leading role in data analyses searching for dark matter
-Studies for physics analyses in detector areas covered commonly by DESY and RWTH Aachen
-Participation in the supervision of students and postdocs

Requirements
-Ph.D. in Experimental Particle Physics
-Extensive knowledge and experience with experiments in HEP
-Long-term experience in LHC physics data analysis related to searches
-In-depth experience in analysis software development and advanced mathematical analysis methods
-Excellent teamwork abilities and good communication skills and knowledge of English
