Job description:
Two post-doctoral positions are open for this project. The purpose of the activities to be undertaken by the fellows is the research of new applications for the proposed ASIC of the ALICE-TPC aiming the inclusion of the technology and developed circuits in the Brazilian industry and other research centers. The adaptation of the ASIC will involve the use of the designed functional blocks IPs such as Charge Sensitive Amplifier, Shaper Semi-Gaussian and Digital-to-Analog Converter.
The required profile for the first candidate is:
- A recent Ph.D. degree in microelectronics in a topic related to analog design;
- Good knowledge of the English Language;
- At least 1 publication in a high quality peer reviewed microelectronic journal;
- Experience with AMS simulations;
- Experience with analog/RF design and layout and tools;
- Excellent programming skills in Verilog-A, Matlab;
- Excellent knowledge in optimization algorithms and their application in design of microelectronic circuits;
- Experience in electronic testing equipment;
 The required profile for the second candidate is:
- A recent Ph.D. degree in microelectronics in a topic related to analog design;
- Good knowledge of the English Language;
- At least 1 publication in a high quality peer reviewed microelectronic journal;
- Excellent knowledge in low noise circuit design.
- Good knowledge of Cadence Analog Flow.
- Experience with  gaseous detector electronic.
- Experience with Analog-to-Digital converters design and test.
- Experience with analog CMOS layout.
