Postdoctoral Position in Theoretical Nuclear Physics: QCD
The Institute for Nuclear Physics at the Technical University of Darmstadt has an opening for a nuclear theory postdoctoral researcher in the group of Guy D. Moore. The position would run for 2 years with the possibility of an extension for a third year. The start date is provisionally 1September2016, but with some flexibility for applicants who need to start earlier or later.
Researchers interested in thermal and nonequilibrium QCD with applications in heavy ion collisions and early Universe cosmology are encouraged to apply. We particularly seek applicants in lattice gauge theory, transport and hydrodynamics, and the process of equilibration in hot QCD.
The candidate is required to hold a PhD degree by the starting date. Applications from women and minorities are encouraged. Proficiency in German is convenient but not required or expected; many postdocsin the Institute arrivewithouta working knowledge of German.
