Responsibilities
 
The LHCb group at the Institute of Nuclear Physics in Kraków has a vacancy for a PostDoctoral Researcher working on the LHCb experiment at CERN. The work is part of an NCN funded research project. We seek for candidates to strengthen analysis activities in the area of charm physics, in particular radiative charm decays. You will be expected to work primarily on physics analysis at the LHCb experiment, support work on the LHCb calorimeter upgrade and mentor students.
 
Requirements
 
The position requires a PhD or equivalent in particle physics, obtained no longer than 7 years prior to the date of employment. A few years of PostDoctoral research are welcome. The ideal candidate will have a solid experience in experimental particle physics, a strong interest in flavour physics and statistical data analysis, and excellent computing skills (ROOT, Python, C++). Some experience with the LHCb software is very welcome. Good communication skills and fluent English are also expected. The position will be initially for a period of two years with a possibility of extension for two more years, subject to mutual agreement.
