Job description:
The Physics Department and the Enrico Fermi Institute (EFI) at the University of Chicago invite applications for faculty positions in the area of particle physics, with emphasis on phenomenology. In addition to particle phenomenology, the EFI is active in many areas of high energy physics, ranging from experimental high energy physics to string theory. There is also a strong connection with the research performed at the Kavli Institute for Cosmological Physics, in the areas of Dark Matter and Cosmology.

Candidates for the level of Assistant Professor must have completed all requirements for a doctorate degree in physics or a related field at the time of hire. 

Candidates at the level of Associate Professor and Professor must have a PhD in physics or a related field and a record of excellence in research.

All ranks are expected to establish an independent research program on theoretical particle physics, while effectively contributing to the Department's undergraduate and graduate teaching programs.
