Job description:
The Neutrino Physics Center sited at Fermilab is now accepting applications for its Spring 2018 Fellowship program.

The NPC's Fellowship program is envisioned to bring the international neutrino community to Fermilab to engage with the neutrino community at Fermilab, for short to medium term visits (2 weeks to 6 months).  This includes both experimentalists, working on Fermilab experiments, and neutrino theorists.

The Neutrino Physics Center will serve researchers from around the world to visit Fermilab and participate in the neutrino program. The Center is for the community and organized by the community. The Center serves to foster communication between experimentalists on different neutrino experiments and with theorists, within the International Neutrino User Community and from Fermilab.

Fermilab is home to a number of neutrino experiments studying short and long baseline oscillations, neutrino interactions, and neutrino detector R&D, a vibrant theory community and hosts numerous workshops and seminar speakers throughout the year, providing a stimulating atmosphere for collaboration. This in combination with running experiments on site provides a stimulating environment for those in residence. The NPC's fellowship program is envisioned to bring, from the international neutrino community, both experimentalists, working on Fermilab experiments, and neutrino theorists to Fermilab to engage with the neutrino community at the Lab.

For experimentalists, awards will be made for work on hardware or software whereas for theorists the awards will be made for neutrino theory or phenomenology related to the Fermilab neutrino program, interpreted in the broadest possible sense. Fellows who have a specific goal in mind for the duration of their stay will be given priority in funding.
