Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Accelerator Physics. The post is full-time and is available initially for a fixed-term duration of 2 years. The normal place of work will be split equally between the John Adams Institute in Oxford and the ISIS facility at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, Harwell Campus. This project will be devoted to development of uses of accelerator technology for scientific and industrial applications. The successful candidate will focus on development of beamline instrumentation and diagnostics in accelerators. Applicants should possess, or be very close to obtaining a doctorate in accelerator physics or a related field and ideally a strong background in accelerator experimental techniques. Previous experience in operation of existing accelerators will be an advantage. Candidates are expected to demonstrate record of experimental research at accelerator, laser or similar facility.
