Job description:
The ATLAS Experiment Group at the University of Rome Tor Vergata has an immediate opening to appoint one Assistant Professor (tenure track) to work on ATLAS and the EU ERC NPTEV-TQP2020 physics programme.
The ATLAS group at the University of Rome Tor Vergata contributed to the design and construction of the Resistive Plate Chambers of the ATLAS Detector and to the front-end electronics of the ATLAS muon system. Current interests and activities include operations and future upgrade of the Muon systems and data analyses on the physics of Top Quarks, Standard Model and beyond, and Higgs boson. The Assistant Professor will be expected to contribute to the NPTEV-TQP2020 research activities.

Main Requirements (check the call document for a full list):
— PhD in Physics or related field, awarded in Italy or abroad by the application deadline.
— Experience as Postdoctoral RA of at least 3 years (or a positive evaluation for the Abilitazione Scientifica Nazionale at the Band II Professorial level) and not exceeding 9 years.
— Adequate knowledge of the Italian language.
