Job description:
The Institute for Theoretical Physics of Goethe University Frankfurt advertises a postdoc position in the field of Particle Cosmology in the group of Jürgen Schaffner-Bielich, with a starting date of October 2018 or later.
The successful candidate will participate as a member of the Collaborative Research Center (CRC-TR 211) ''Strong-Interaction Matter under Extreme Conditions'' of University groups in Bielefeld, Frankfurt and Darmstadt, contributing to the research of the Frankfurt group and collaborate with groups at the other nodes of the research center.
The postdoc position will be part of the project on 'strong interaction matter in the early universe' of the CRC, which studies the lattice-based QCD equation of state of the Universe for temperatures from a GeV to around 10 MeV and its implications for dark matter and on stochastic gravitational waves. The research project will be done in collaboration with the groups of Dietrich Bödeker and Dominik Schwarz in Bielefeld.
