Job Description Post-doctoral Research Associate position for Nuclear Theory Group Physics Department, Brookhaven National Laboratory Position date: April 1, 2016 The Nuclear Theory Group of the Physics Department at Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL), https://www.bnl.gov/physics/NTG/, is looking for a post-doctoral Research Associate to do theoretical research to explore thepartonic structure of hadrons with ab initio lattice QCD calculations, helping make more reliable theoretical predictions for observables to be studied at a future Electron-Ion Collider. The candidate chosen would be initially hired for a term of two years. BNL has the unprecedented three groups of lattice QCD effort at one institution, in association with high-energy theory group, nuclear theory group and RIKEN/BNL Research Center, respectively, as well as on-going collaborations with many institutions around the world. Our group’s research interests and activities are concentrated on QCD and Strong interactions, including research on QCD and hadron structure, on hadronic spin physics, on QCD at high energies, temperatures and densities, and on their phenomenological applications, as well as research in support of current and future facilities and experimental programs in Nuclear Physics. A Ph.D. degree in nuclear or particle physics is required. To be considered for this position, apply online at www.bnl.gov and click Jobs, then sort by job ID and apply to job #511. Please also e-mail Dorothy Davis, Dorothyd@bnl.gov, the resume as well as three letters of recommendation. Applications received by December 15th, 2015 will receivefull consideration.
