Job description:

The Institute of High Energy Physics (IHEP, Beijing) invites application for a posdoctoral research position in the Belle (II) group. The Belle II experiment will start physics data taking in 2018, on the upgraded SuperKEKB accelerator which will eventually deliver 40 times higher luminosity of electron-position collisions than at KEKB. The IHEP Belle group, with a proven track record especially in the studies of hadron spectroscopy, will continue to explore the field with Belle II data.

The successful candiate is expected to work on the physics analyses using the early Belle II and Belle data, mainly on but not limited to the search and study of exotic heavy hadrons. The candidate will also actively contribute to the detector operation tasks and performance study such as the particle identification capability. The appointment will be for an initial period of two years, with the possibility of renewal. The position is based in IHEP, with financial support for travels to KEK and international conferences.

Applicants are required to have obtained a doctor degree in particle physics or related subjects by the time of appointement.
