Job description:
The experimental particle physics group at UCAS (University of Chinese Academy of Sciences) invites talented and highly qualified candidates to apply for the “UCAS Fellowships for Young International Scientists”. The post-holders will work on one or several of the following physics topics at the LHCb experiment: lepton universality test in b->sll decays or in semileptonic B decays, exotic-state searches and CP violation measurements in B decaying to open charmed or charmless final states. The post-holders are also supposed to contribute to the operation or/and the upgrade of the LHCb experiment. The post-holders will be based at UCAS, Beijing, with frequent travel to CERN. The annual gross salary is 300,000 CNY. The post-holders will have an additional allowance of about 2,000 CHF per month when staying at CERN. The term of initial appointment is one year with the possibility of reappointment to a maximum of three years. Eligible candidates are non-Chinese citizens, and have a Ph.D. degree (or will have a Ph.D. degree by September of 2018) in experimental physics. Interested candidates should send a curriculum vitae and a brief statement of research interests to Ms. Zhang (carolinezh@ucas.ac.cn) no later than 28 February, 2018. She/He should also arrange for three letters of recommendation to be sent by the reference writers directly to Ms. Zhang by the closing date.
