The University of South Dakota, Department of Physics, invites applications for a postdoctoral research position in neutrino physics. The successful candidate will make substantial contributions to the operation and data analysis of the Majorana Demonstrator experiment, as well as the R&D program of the LEGEND collaboration (the Large Enriched Germanium Experiment for Neutrinoless double beta Decay) towards a next-generation experiment. Other research activities of the group include HPGe detector development and the DUNE experiment.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in physics or closely related field prior to beginning the position.
The candidate should have expertise in the following areas:
Detector instrumentation commonly seen in nuclear and particle physics
Data analysis and simulations.
