Job description:
Zhejiang Institute of Modern Physics, Zhejiang University, CHINA is recruiting exceptional candidates as tenure-track faculty in theoretical high energy physics, particularly in the fields of particle phenomenology, formal field theory, string theory, gravity, astrophysics and cosmology (not restricted to these directions though).

Applicants should have a Ph.D. in theoretical physics with outstanding independent research records. The positions are open for both Chinese and Non-Chinese candidates. Candidates are encouraged to apply through Chinese Government “1000 Young Talent” program and Zhejiang University Hundred Talents Program. The starting annual salary for successful “1000 Young Talent” candidates is CNY. 300K with subsidized housing. Applications require a letter of application, CV, research and teaching plans and at least three letters of recommendation from senior physicists through AJO system (AJO#10529).

Zhejiang Institute of Modern Physics (ZIMP) was founded in 1991 by the Nobel laureate and ZJU alumnus Dr. Tsung-Dao Lee. The high energy physics theory group at ZIMP currently consists of nine full time faculty members. Group members pursue a broad range of research in formal quantum field theory, particle phenomenology, lattice QCD and hadron physics. Research in formal field theory focuses on developing theoretical tools for computing scattering amplitude. Particle phenomenology research includes perturbative QCD, physics beyond the Standard Model as well as heavy flavor physics. Inquiries can be sent to fengbo@zju.edu.cn.
