Postdoctoral Associate or more senior position is available in the Princeton Nanoscale Microscopy Laboratory (PNML) under the direction of Professor Ali Yazdani in the Department of Physics at Princeton University. The successful candidate will participate in the research activities of the lab with graduate and undergraduate students as well as postdoctoral scientists. The candidate will be operating ultra-high vacuum (UHV) and low temperature lab equipment, instruments and systems, and will design experimental methods and procedures that will meet specific research projects and goals. This position will involve projects to run experiments on existing equipment or help design modifications to the instrumentation to make future experiments possible. This is a one year appointment with the possibility of renewal based on satisfactory performance and funding.  
 
The successful candidate must have a Doctorate degree in Physics or related discipline and shall have experience in low temperature physics, scanning tunneling microscope (STM) systems, or spin-polarized STM. The candidate should also have previous research experience working in correlated electrons systems, magnetism or superconductivity.
