The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) invites applications for a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in nuclear theory (with Prof. Jonathan Engel), to begin around September 1, 2018.
Candidates should have experience in nuclear-structure theory (or other kinds of many-body theory), nuclear astrophysics, or fundamental symmetries in nuclei. It is anticipated that research will focus on double-beta decay, r-process nucleosynthesis, time-reversal noninvariance and atomic electric dipole moments, and nuclear structure, including both ab initio methods and density functional theory.
