Job description:
The Department of Physics at UC Santa Barbara invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Experimental Particle Physics with an appointment to start July 1, 2018 or later. We seek outstanding candidates in the broad areas of dark matter detection, neutrino physics, and other areas of non-collider experimental particle physics.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in physics or a closely related field at the time of appointment. Preference will be given to candidates with an outstanding record of research accomplishment and professional activity and a commitment to excellence in teaching.
Candidates should submit a curriculum vitae, list of publications, and statement of their past and planned contributions to research and teaching. A statement of contributions to outreach and diversity is also welcome.
