Job description:
The Lattice and Effective Field Theory (L/EFT) group in the Physics Department at Duke University invites applications for a postdoctoral research associate position starting September 1, 2018.
Applicants should have received a Ph.D. in physics before the start date and have expertise in a research area of interest to the group. Topics of interest include but are not limited to: Soft-Collinear Effective Theory (SCET), lattice field theories, quantum chromodynamics, and applications of EFT to nuclear and high energy physics. The position is partially supported by funding from the TMD collaboration which focuses on the theory and phenomenology of transverse momentum dependent parton distribution functions and fragmentation functions. The applicant should be willing to devote part of his/her research effort to projects relevant to the TMD collaboration.
