Job description:
The Experimental High Energy Physics group in the Department of Physics at the University of Cincinnati seeks candidates for a one-year post-doctoral fellow position.
The individual hired will study GPU-friendly, thread-parallel algorithms and develop codes to do amplitude analyses in experimental high energy physics and closely allied fields.  The individual will also participate in the LHCb experiment.  This position will be based either at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland or in Cincinnati, OH.
 
Candidates should have a Ph.D. (or equivalent) in experimental particle physics or a closely related field. The ideal candidate would have (i) extensive experience analyzing high energy physics data, (ii) extensive experience building and/or maintaining production-quality, sustainable, software, (iii) the ability to communicate effectively.
