Job description:
The Tsung-Dao Lee Institute (TDLI) in Shanghai, China invites applications for T.D. Lee Postdoctoral Fellows in the areas of theoretical particle physics, cosmology and related areas.
We welcome highly motivated and top-rated applicants who have obtained a Ph.D. degree or who are expecting one prior to starting the position, in particle physics or a related field. The initial appointment is for 2 years with possible renewal for a third year. TDLI offers competitive salary (comparable to the same level positions in U.S.) commensurate with qualifications and subsidized housing options through the university.


The successful candidates are expected to work and base in Shanghai. They can collaborate with faculty members at TDLI and related faculties at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. We also provide proper supports for long/short-term visits to top institutes outside China. Interested candidates should provide a CV with a list of publications, a statement of research interests and achievements, and at least three supporting letters. 

The review of application will begin on Dec. 1, 2017, and last until the position is filled.

TDLI (tdli.ac.cn), initiated by Prof. Tsung-Dao Lee (Nobel Laureate in 1957), is a newly established national research institute. The director of the institute is Prof. Frank Wilczek (Nobel Laureate in 2004). TDLI supports researches in particle physics, cosmology, astrophysics and quantum physics, and aims at establishing a top-notch physics and astronomy research institute. English is the working language and non-Chinese-speaking candidates are welcome to apply.
