The Max Planck Institut für Kernphysik at Heidelberg, (Germany) invites applications for an
Electronics Engineer
to work within the team of the institute's central electronics workshop. The team develops high performance electronics for fundamental research experiments in molecular, atomic, sub-atomic physics as well as for particle physics and astrophysics. This covers a very wide spectrum of electronics, ranging from fast low noise amplifiers to control and readout of multi channels digital systems and involves all tasks from circuit design and layout, to building characterisation setups and programming micro controllers and FPGAs. In addition, it is planned to extend the activities of the team towards technical project management and systems engineering to support the production of cameras for the Cherenkov Telescope Array CTA.
Your Profile:
The salary will be paid according to the collective agreement for civil service employees (TVöD) and includes additional retirement benefits (VBL). The details will depend on the qualification of the applicant.

Your Profile:
- Degree in electronics engineering
- Profound know-how and experience in analogue and/or digital electronics
- Know-how and experience of technical project management and of the systems engineering processes
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team
- Good skills in German and English, written and oral.
- Readiness for occasional trips to experiment sites worldwide
