The physics department at the University of California, Santa Barbara is pleased to announce the establishment of a new postdoctoral series. Our goal is to attract an outstanding researcher working on fundamental questions in theoretical physics. The position comes with generous travel and research support, as well as a competitive salary. Preference will be given to applicants working on quantum gravity and related areas.
The positions are for three years, but under exceptional circumstances, could be extended to five years.
Postdocs at UCSB benefit from an active research environment in the department, as well as the presence of the KITP that runs programs in all areas of theoretical physics.
Applicants are requested to submit a curriculum vita, publication list, statement of research interests, and three letters of reference.
The deadline for applications is November 1, 2017. Late applications may be considered at the discretion of the selection committee.
