The Wellesley College Department of Physics invites applications for a tenure track position to begin in the fall of 2018.
We will consider applicants at all ranks; assistant professor candidates are especially encouraged to apply.
Successful applicants will have demonstrated excellence in teaching, a strong commitment to undergraduate education, first-rate research credentials and a well-developed plan to establish an active on-campus research program with meaningful student involvement. All fields of research will be considered, including those at interdisciplinary boundaries. We seek an individual interested in contributing to a vibrant academic community that is centered around teaching and mentoring curious and committed students. The college is dedicated to building a culturally diverse and pluralistic faculty and is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through their teaching and service. Preference will be given to candidates with a Ph.D. in physics or closely related field, ABD considered.
