ATLAS Muon Spectrometer Group - Postdoc at Munich, Max Planck Inst.

We invite applications for two postdoctoral positions in experimental particle physics within our ATLAS Muon Spectrometer Group. The group has contributed to the design and construction of the ATLAS muon spectrometer and is currently involved in trigger, detector and electronics development and construction for upgrades of the ATLAS detector. Our data analysis program concentrates on the measurements of the Higgs boson properties and search for new physics beyond the Standard Model. The successful candidates are expected to play a leading role in the ATLAS data analysis, particularly in Higgs boson physics or searches for dark matter particles and new heavy resonances or, alternatively, in detector and electronics development for the upgrade of the ATLAS muon spectrometer.
 
Salary and benefits are according to the German public service pay scale (TVöD Bund). The contracts are limited to two years.
