The Institute for Fundamental Study “The Tah Poe Academia Institute” (IF) intends to appoint a Research Fellow in quantum field theory and high energy physics. The successful applicant will work as part of a team at the Laboratory of Quantum Field Theory and High Energy Physics (QFTHEP Lab) at IF and will undertake research and teaching in the area of quantum field theory, high energy physics and physics at graduate level. The teaching load assigned to this post is from 1 up to 3 postgraduate-level courses per academic year which comprised of three semesters. A PhD degree and relevant research experience are required. The post is for one year, but is renewable upon performance. The promotion to higher academic positions is available and open, based on experience and performance of the post holder. The anticipated start date is in August-December 2017, and is negotiable.
IF consists of 9 academic staff, 1 postdoctoral researchers and 17 postgraduate students, and has regular national and international visitors. Its research concerns Cosmology, Classical Gravity, Quantum Field Theory, Quantum Gravity, String Theory, Structure of Theory, and Physics of Social and Economics Systems.
