Job description:
The ATLAS Experiment Group at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” has an immediate opening to appoint one postdoctoral research associate (RA) to work on the ATLAS experiment. The appointment will be for three years, starting soon after completion of the selection process.
The University and INFN Roma Tor Vergata group contributed to the design and construction of the Resistive Plate Chambers of the ATLAS Detector and to the front-end electronics of the ATLAS muon system. Current interests and activities include data analyses on the physics of Top Quarks, Standard Model and beyond, and Higgs boson and operations and future upgrade of the Muon systems. The RA’s will be expected to contribute to the EU-ERC NPTEV-TQP2020 data analysis activities (properties and searches for new physics with top quarks).
Contract Type: 3 years full-time, fixed term (RTDa-type contract)

Activity: Data analysis with the ATLAS experiment, NPTEV-TQP2020 Work Packages 1-5
Requirements: PhD in Physics or related field, awarded by the application deadline.
