Ph.D. student position in cosmology and fundamental interactions
Theory Group in National Centre for Nuclear Research invites applications for a Ph.D. student position in cosmology and fundamental interactions. The position is supposed to be filled after 1st of March 2016 and to last up to 4 years. The position is co-funded from the National Science Centre SONATA grant „Time issue in quantum gravity” led by Dr. Przemysław Małkiewicz (DEC-2012/06/A/ST2/00395). The monthly stipend 2200PLN will be supplemented during the first year with gross salary 3000PLN/month possibly (but not guaranteed) extendable for the remaining years.
The research concerns the broad area of gravitation and cosmology with an emphasis on the singularity problem in general relativity and its quantum resolution. A special attention is paid onto the study of the role of clocks in defining quantum effects in gravity and their impact on the evolution of the early universe. The project will involve mostly theoretical aspects of such theories.
The deadline for applications is 15 December, 2015. Applications should include CV, if existent a list of publications, a brief statement of research interests, a copy of graduate studies diploma (M.Sc.) and a copy of the thesis. Candidates should arrange for at least 1 letter of recommendation. Applications and recommendations should be sent by email to Prof. Mariusz P. Dąbrowski: Mariusz.Dabrowski@ncbj.gov.pl or Dr. P.
