Job description:
The High Energy Physics group at the University of Rochester is seeking applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate working on the Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI), a next-generation galaxy survey under construction in Arizona. The position will be based in Rochester but the successful applicant will be expected to travel frequently to the DESI site to take shifts and help commission the telescope. Applicants will also become involved the analysis conducted by the Rochester group, which includes searches for dark matter in the Milky Way, tests of cosmological models, and the development of new techniques for analyzing large cosmological data sets.
