Deadline: 2016-12-07
Region: Europe

Job description:
Deadline: December 7, 2016
Expected starting date: September 2017 (earlier starting time possible)
Job Location: SDU, Odense, Denmark

Post-doc opportunities in particle physics phenomenology will this year be available in the phenomenology group at CP3-Origins, University of Southern Denmark.

We expect one or more openings, according to funding availability, in relation to the project “The Origin of Mass and the Particle Nature of Dark Matter” and we encourage candidates interested in model building and phenomenology of electroweak symmetry breaking and/or dark matter (e.g. model building for electroweak symmetry breaking and dark matter, LHC phenomenology, dark matter detection phenomenology, composite dynamics) to apply. The project is funded by a Danish Council for Independent Research grant held by associate professor Mads Toudal Frandsen.

The Centre for Cosmology and Particle Physics Phenomenology (CP3-Origins) currently has 10 faculty members and several post-docs and PhD students in the areas of particle physics phenomenology, beyond standard model physics, collider phenomenology (both SM and BSM), astroparticle physics, cosmology and lattice field theory. For further information, see our webpage.

The post-doc opportunities will come with plenty of support for travel and computer equipment and Danish post-doc salaries are competitive.

Priority will be given to letters of interest received within the deadline December 1, 2016, but late letters may be considered until the opening has been filled. We are happy to receive your expressions of interest all year long.

The file you upload below must contain the following:

  • cover letter
  • curriculum vitae
  • research statement
  • full list of publications

In addition you are asked to arrange for three letters of references to be sent to us.

Upon successful submission of the web-form, you will receive an automatically generated email with your details. You will have to ask your referees to upload reference letters yourself – the email contains details on how the referees do this. Note that the referees will not be notified by us directly. The fields below regarding referee contact information is for our own record.
