Postdoc position in Helsinki
We anticipate the opening of one 2+1 year postdoctoral position in the field of dense QCD and thermal field theory in the fall of 2017. The position is within the research group of Dr. Aleksi Vuorinen, and is affiliated with both the Helsinki Institute of Physics and the Department of Physics of the University of Helsinki. The group specializes in the physics of cold and dense quark matter and its applications to neutron star physics; for further information, see http://www.helsinki.fi/~arjvuori/index.html.
We encourage applications from qualified junior researchers with backgrounds in particular in thermal field theory and/or perturbative QCD. The applicant should prepare a short research statement, a curriculum vitae and a list of publications, and assemble them all in one single pdf file sent to aleksi.vuorinen@helsinki.fi. The applicants should also arrange for at least two letters of recommendation to be sent on their behalf to the same address. All material should arrive before December 14, 2016, though later applications will be considered as well until the position is filled.
