POSTDOCTORAL POSITIONS IN THEORETICAL HIGH-ENERGY PHYSICS
The particle physics phenomenology group led by C. Grojean, M. Schulze and P. Uwer at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin plans to fill two postdoctoral positions starting in fall 2017. One of the two positions is aimed for more experienced candidates and offers a five year perspective. This position will be part of the newly established cooperation between Hunboldt-Universität and the theory group of DESY in Hamburg so the selected candidate will have plenty of opportunity to also interact with both groups.
The department of physics at the Humboldt-Universität has a broad activity in theoretical particle physics, including phenomenology, lattice gauge theory, and string theory. In addition the physics department is member of the ATLAS collaboration and is strongly engaged in various astroparticle physics experiments.
As far as the phenomenology group is concerned, the scientific interests include particle physics phenomenology at ongoing and future colliders, higher order calculations within the Standard Model, top-quark physics, as well as research towards possible Standard Model extensions and their signatures at colliders and in astroparticle and cosmology experiments.
Interested candidates should have a Ph.D. degree or equivalent and a strong scientific background in theoretical high energy physics, with a particular emphasis on collider phenomenology. In case of interest please provide (in a single PDF file) a CV, a list of publications and a description of research interests, as well as two letters of recommendation, by December 11th, 2016 to postdoc-HEP@physik.hu-berlin.de
