The Max Planck Institute for the Physics of Complex Systems invites applications from prospective PhD students that are interested in performing research in the field of strongly coupled field theories. Example areas of possible research directions include hydrodynamics, novel quantum phases of matter, quantum entanglement, conformal bootstrap, gauge/gravity dualities and their applications.
All applications should include a curriculum vitae, a short statement of research interests and two reference letters. The documents in support of the application should be sent by email (phdindresden@gmail.com). The deadline for the application is 1st December 2016.
