Job description:
UNIVERSITY OF MILANO-BICOCCA - DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICS
OPENING FOR A POSTDOC POSITION IN THEORETICAL PARTICLE PHYSICS

The Department of Physics at the University of Milano-Bicocca
invites applications for a two-year postdoc position in theoretical
particle physics, starting in the fall of 2017. Lattice gauge theory
is the area of research with the highest priority for this job.
Deadline for applications November 30th.

The lattice group at the University of Milano-Bicocca consists
of three faculties (Leonardo Giusti, Michele Pepe and Federico Rapuano),
one postdoc (M. Dalla Brida) and several master and Ph.D students.
More information can be found on the web-page

Current research interests of the group include QCD in the chiral regime,
flavour physics, finite-temperature QCD, theoretical and algorithm
development. The group has its own high performance PC cluster, and
has regular grants of tens of Million CPU hours on the clusters of
CINECA. The group is also part of CLS.

The physics department of Milano-Bicocca counts approximatively
40 faculty members, many postdocs and graduate students. Its particle
physics groups participate to the CMS and LHCb experiments at LHC.

The successful applicant must have a Ph.D in theoretical physics
at the time of taking the appointment. Applications, including a
curriculum vitae, a list of publications, a statement of research
interests, and a minimum of two letters of recommendation can be
sent to Leonardo Giusti (Leonardo.Giusti.AT.mib.infn.it)
electronically or by regular mail to
