Job description:
The candidate will participate in research and development of water-based and metal-loaded liquid scintillator. This position requires a Ph.D. degree in experimental high energy or nuclear physics. Experience with detector physics and detector development, data analysis and simulation are highly desirable. The candidate will work within the Electronic Detector Group of the Physics Department and collaborate with the Neutrino and Nuclear Chemistry Group of the Chemistry Department as well as have broad associations with other groups in the laboratory and throughout the world to carry out his/her function. Domestic and international travel should be expected. He/She is expected to work under the general assignment of the EDG scientific staff.
