Job description:
A PhD student position in theoretical cosmology is available in the cosmology group at the Centre for Cosmology and Particle Physics Phenomenology (CP3-Origiens), and the Department of Physics, Chemistry and Pharmacy at the University of Southern Denmark in Odense. We are looking for outstanding young and competitive candidates with a clear potential to excel in the research of theoretical cosmology and early universe models (primordial inflation, dark energy/matter, modified gravity, CMB physics, quantum field theory in curved space, string cosmology, etc.).
The prospective candidate will work with Professor Martin S. Sloth, who is the leader of cosmology group at CP³-Origins, on the project “Inflationary Crossroads: Uncovering the Origin of the Universe”, funded by VILLUM FONDEN.
The appointment will be for a term of three years at a very competitive salary and is expected to start in the fall of 2016, with earliest start date 1 October 2016. Interested candidates are required to include in the application at least two letters of recommendation.
