The Particle Physics group at the University of Manchester has a vacancy for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work on the ATLAS experiment at the CERN LHC.   The Manchester group is strongly involved in many areas of ATLAS, including the study of events containing Higgs, W, and Z bosons, and top quarks, as well as searches for new phenomena. Manchester has also major roles in the ATLAS high level trigger and luminosity measurements, as well as in upgrades to the tracking detectors and trigger.

 

The appointment will be from 1st October 2016 (or as soon as possible thereafter) and would extend, in the first instance, until 30th September 2019.
