Job description:
The Institut de Physique Theorique (IPhT) of CEA-Saclay (France) and University Paris-Saclay invites applications for one or more postdoctoral positions funded by the European Research Council in the context of the project 'preQFT: Strategic Predictions for Quantum Field Theories.' Candidates with experience and continued interest in multiloop scattering amplitudes in either formal or phenomenological gauge or gravity field theories (and/or open and closed string theory), classical Yang-Mills and General Relativity solutions (analytic or numeric), or applications of field theory techniques to cosmological / astrophysical predictions are especially encouraged to apply.

The preQFT project funds a new working group at IPhT engaged with theoretically motivated calculations, especially in scattering amplitudes, but also open to other sharply predictive issues in theoretical particle physics, quantum gravity, general relativity and cosmology. A strong visitor program and a series of workshops will be organized.

The Institute is located approx. 20km southwest of Paris along the RER B line, also with dedicated commuter buses to and from various locations in Paris. The positions can offer competitive salaries, and have access to generous travel and computing resources. Any appointment is intended to start between Jun-Sep of 2016 and will typically be fixed to 2+1 years.

Applications must be submitted electronically on the Academic Jobs Online website:
https://academicjobsonline.org/ajo/jobs/5927 ) and include a cover letter, CV (including a full list of publications) and statement of research interests. Applicants should arrange for at least three reference letters to be submitted through Academic Jobs Online .

Deadline for application : 30th November 2015.
